I know that Oscar De La Hoya (Golden Boy Promotions) was talking about putting something like this together a while back and I didn't really like the idea of it. I can't see it working.

The only way I can possibly see it working is if they replace the usual boxing undercard fights with MMA fights and then have one or two (max) BIG boxing fights. So maybe 10 MMA followed by 2 boxing may work, but only if the boxers are big box office names.

For example... in the UK, if you could put together an event that included:

8x MMA - Under Card - Up & Coming Fighers.
2x MMA - Head Liner- Such as Dan Hardy + Martin Thompson
1x MMA - Main Event - Michael Bisping
1x Boxing - Head Liner - Kevin Mitchell
1x Boxing - Main Event - Ricky Hatton

Something along those lines would sell-out any stadium in the UK 3 times over!

What do you reckon?
