Default Strikeforce: Fedor Vs Rogers On TV This Weekend

Good news for UK MMA fans, Strikeforce: Fedor Vs Rogers will be broadcast (on tape delay) this Sunday night on Bravo.

Hopefully a lot of people will tune in and we can get these type of events showing more regularly in the UK. There's also some talk of WEC striking a TV deal over here next year.

What did everyone think of this fight?

I think Brett did really well and definately had Fador hurt a couple of times. Fador just proved to be too fast with perfect timing.

Didn't see the actual fight but really enjoyed some of the others.

Again, I dont know names, but that one with the black judoka with dreadlocks versus the white dude? It was the first time I have ever seen no-gi Judo really show its advantage. A few times the white dude tried to throw the black one with basic BJJ and shoot takedowns, only to be completely reversed, even when the black dude was on his way down a few times.

For throws, Judo is unparalleled IMO.

Then the next fight, Shields vs Russell, was also great. A good technical BJJ chess match with minimal striking on the feet but gradual, piece by piece movements to execute submissions and some amazing escapes too.
Loved it when Russell finally got Shields into a rear naked choke with 10 seconds to go in round 4. Shields went purple but hung out for the end of the round. The pain he must've taken is awesome.

By the way, does anyone know who won that fight? Annoyingly I fell asleep in round 5!

Sorry make that Jake Shields vs Jason Miller.

And I got the rounds wrong. Choke was 3 and then I fell asleep.

And I now know the result. Shields by points.

Cheers!
