Hi Jamie,

Welcome to the forum mate and thanks for joining!!

It seems you have the perfect background for MMA!!

To have lots of different styles is a massive advantage in MMA. What sort of martial arts have you trained in?

Im not a fighter myself but i do train in MMA and there are always people that fight in competitions at my gym, I would imagine that would be the same anywhwere so to answer your question, id find a local gym to continue your training and maybe people there who are already fighting could point you in the right direction. Also I would contact any local events organisers in your area and ask them if they can hook you up with a fight.

We have some really helpfull & knoledgable members here so im sure one of them will point you in the right direction.

Hope to speak to you soon mate!!

Welcome to the club fella.

To get noticed you need to compete. It's all in stages and could take a while but don't let that hold you back. If you pick up MMA quickly you could be competing within a year (at Amateur level of course).

Train hard and anything is possible.

Good plan on rearranging your days to incorporate the other styles.

If you want to look good in the mirror then about 70% of wat your doing should be focused on your diet. If you're eating crap and change to healthy eating and continue with your training plan you should drop weight quite quickly.

You need a high protein plan and drop calories under maintenace to lose fat. If you want any advice let me know.

Im 22, 6ft1.5 and just a tad over 12 stone. Average weight is 77/78kgs when i check in the gym.

I know it sounds weird but have you tried a vegitarian diet. Im actually a vegi and people think its a bad diet as you dont get protein from meat, where in truth you get more with quorn. Its nice, very low in fat and better in protien than meat. Also with Whey protien shakes your getting a very good deal.

I eat alot of fruit and salad, egg, bread, pasta, quorn. (And you dont reliese how much you mates go to mcdonalds when your a vegi, but that means your not eating crap.)
