Default New Bloke!

Hello All,

Im new to the forum. Introduced to it by my old buddy Jarrod!

Im also new to martial arts. Im a natural bodybuilder/powerlifter and have been for 8 years, but now want a change and am moving into martial arts. Im about 16stone 6lbs but am gonna take it down to about 15 and a half so im a lot leaner.

Trying some different things at the moment to see what I like but definitely want to get hard into learning and training asap. Im only just getting into MMA as a spectator too.

Initially im going to try some MMA clubs and a couple of Judo clubs in my area. I fancy both for completely different reasons, but of course both overlap.

Any advice on good styles, training types to try?

Cheers

James

Cheers for joining mate. I'm sure you can help our members out on the muscle and strength gain side of things and supplements etc quite a bit. We've now got some great members with lots of various fighting backgrounds who you can chat with, all are really helpful.

Let me know how you get on with the Judo and I'll keep you posted with the 121 training we were all talking about at the party.

Cheers fellas. I have no idea who my favourite fighter is im afraid. Im too new to the whole thing.

I've started to enjoy it though and Im sure ill get more into it when I start training and learning properly.

Yeah ok Jarrod. The strength side of things provided kept in balance can make a huge benefit to fight sports even if the strength increase is only subtle.

So far looks like a really good forum. Im sure ill learn a lot from you fellas.
