Hi Everone,

Just joined and thought I'd better introduce myself.

I've been living out in Spain for the past 5 years working in the online gaming industry and have just relocated back to the UK.

I've been watching MMA since the UFC although I didn't follow it too closely during the so called 'Dark Ages' but the Ultimate Fighter brought it back to my attention and I've spent much of last few years catching up on what I've missed including Pride, K1 etc.

I will be looking to start training in MMA, although at 32 my chances of making it big are slim I'm doing it for myself and not for any sort of recognition. If anyone knows of anywhere good to train around the Derbyshire area, please let me know!

I look forward to getting involved in some interesting discussions on this great sport and getting to know a lot of you better.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

I bet you're pleased to be back in sunny England then after 5 years of Spanish sun?!! So did you work on gambling type sites or gaming as in video game related?

This forum is a couple of months old but the response so far has been great. We are now wearing our branded MMAForum.co.uk tops to local events which is helping raise awareness and the feedback from fighters, fans and promoters has been really good.

We will be putting together a small group of moderators to help us on the admin side of things once the forum picks up a bit more, so we'll definitely bare you in mind for that. I see you already have 11 posts!

Also, it would be great if you could tell/email any friends you have who are MMA fans and tell them about the forum, word of mouth will really help us grow.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I was out there working for 888.com for 5 years, the last 2 of which I spent managing their forum.

It was great living out there initially, but there's no place like home, it's the small things you grow to miss. Once you take away the sun, sea and sand there isn't much left.

I will definately spread the word and try to drive as much traffic here as possible.

I'm go on holiday tomorrow for a fortnight (cruising the Caribbean

), when I get back there will be no stopping me...so watch out!!!

Very jealous! I'm in desperate need of a sunny holiday but my partner is pregnant at the moment, so it makes things a bit tricky!

Have a nice time out there. I'm sure you will. Don't enjoy all that food, drink and sun too much
