I'd have to say Muay Thai, for aggression, the use of knees and elbows.... its alot more devastating than kickboxing

I'd say muay Thai for ground and in the clinch, but I've seen some devastating head kicks by kick boxers.

Red face kickboxing or thai

We teach kickboxing and mma here + karate i think it depends on the student / fighter which one they gel with the best? their natural movement almost dictates the one for them ???? what do you thinks

Also they need to be able to get on with the coach/trainer which is the biggest battle if they dont listen and do what you ask they dont improve full stop???

Def. muay thai for me, alot more "brutal" (for want of a better word).
Not to say kickboxing isn't effective, but the elbows, knees and clinch work edge MT ahead

Default Answer: Muay Thai

I'd definitely have to say Muay Thai because of its use of knees and elbows, weapons you wouldn't use in regular kickboxing, but would in MMA fights. Also, the Muay Thai clinch is actually very useful in MMA and you don't learn that in kickboxing.

Id say muay thai too, for the knees and elbows but i think both are effective and it also depends on the person.

Hi,

All in all, Muay Thai is a great martial art for defense and competition. Thai is one of the best martial arts in the world, proving it time and time again.
