Default Injured my knee

Hey,

about a month ago I injured my knee in the most pathetic way ever, i walked into a chair and the corner went up under my kneecap, i fell to the floor and it's not felt right since. It's not too sore, but it doesn't feel right and I don't want to do further damage.

I haven't been back to muay thai since due to the christmas holidays etc, I'm now looking to get back into it but not sure if my knee can handle the kicks etc.

Anyone know of any low impact exercises I could use to build the strength (and my fitness) back up a bit? I've got a crosstrainer so have been using that cause there's no impact, but it doesn't seem to be getting better.

cheers

kev

If I was you I would get your knee checked out by a sports physio just to make sure there is no underlaying damage. Once you know what is going on with your knee then you can start looking at ways of making it stronger without risking making it worse.

Hey,

Cheers for the advice, I decided to skip muay thai this week cause of it, I'll give it another try, and if it's still not right, I might contact a physio about it. As you say, it'd be bad to make it worse by doing the wrong exercise.

Thanks

Kev

I injured my knee two weeks ago as well,
Been playing rugby most my life, never had an injury in a game (touch wood), but playing touch rugby warming up i fell/twisted it ,
Only just started being able to jog on it today, and have had to put any MMA training on hold =/
